Hunting Expo Weekend ~ Hunting is a sport that has been around since the beginning of creation.  Actually, God was the first hunter when He clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins.  At VCC, we set aside one weekend each year at the end of September to celebrate hunting.  On Sunday, we encourage everyone to wear camo gear and Ps. Dave usually does a sermon with hunting illustrations, such as using his bow to demonstrate what sin is, or his gun to show us how the Holy spirit works, plus several others.  After the service, the hunters provide a lunch for everyone made out of all sorts of wild game.  Also there is an outdoor archery shoot for anyone interested.  Throughout the year, the hunters provide hunter training and sponsor several hunting weekends as a means to reach out to the unchurched as well as encouraging father and son activities.
